A deposit is necessary when booking. For cottages, this deposit is set at $500. In the case of motel rooms, the deposit matches the total cost of the first night's stay, inclusive of taxes.
The balance of your payment is due and payable 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. We will automatically charge your credit card for the remaining balance at that time (or you may e-transfer the balance).
As a small resort, we have a limited inventory of cottages and motel rooms. When a reservation is made, we take that cottage or room out of our inventory and set it aside for your exclusive use. In doing so, we forfeit an opportunity to earn revenue from that same accommodation, should your plans change. It is for this reason that we have the following policies in place:
Cancellation requests +60 Days prior to Scheduled Arrival Date
We will refund your deposit paid, less a handling fee of $25.00 + HST.
Cancellation requests 10-60 days prior to Scheduled Arrival Date
No refund of deposit given.
Cancellation requests -10 Days prior to Scheduled Arrival Date
The full reservation balance will be charged to card.
If there are unavoidable changes in your plans and a cancellation or modification of your confirmed reservation is needed, we can offer a partial refund if we are able to re-rent your reserved accommodation. The amount of the refund will be the difference between your reservation balance and the amount we are able to re-rent your reserved accommodation less a $25.00 + HST Fee.
